Ijahis idja. Midnight. And on stage, of course, Ailu Valle & Amoc!

Amoc from Inari and Ailu Valle, originally from Kaamasmukka, Utsjoki, are pioneers, trailblazers, and giants of Saami-language rap. Both started rapping in Saami already in the early 2000s, and can thus be called the godfathers of Saami rap.

Amoc and Ailu Valle are long-time Sámi rappers, but they are also known for their other cultural work. The duo was awarded the Áillohaš music prize at the Sámi Grand Prix in the spring of 2026.

Amoc’s debut album, Amok-kaččâm, was released in 2007 and is the world’s first Saami-language rap album. Ailu Valle, on the other hand, has released three albums: Dušši dušše duššat (2012), 7 (2015), and Viidon sieiddit (2019). The duo has also made several joint songs and featured on each other’s tracks.

In Ijahis idja, musicians Juho Kiviniemi and Oula Guttorm will provide their own rock twist to Ailu and Amoc’s set.
